Girl's Weekend!

This past weekend Parker and I went with 5 other girls to Newport, OR for a girl's weekend at the coast! Parker's friend Cameron, who is 5 months older, was also there. All in all it was a great weekend get-away with the girls!Parker is very jealous of how Cameron can sit up by herself, let alone crawl and stand! Soon enough...

Parker is now 14 1/2 weeks old!

Weekend Adventures

Twice a year there is an amazing event called the Miss Meer's Shoe Sale at a boutique store that I go to with a group of girls. We make a night out of it! We get there 3 hours before the sale starts, set up our chairs and wait...it is a blast! They serve champagne and chocolate covered strawberries while you wait! Aaron does not like this sale- to say the least. The Viking's football game happened to fall on the same night this time- perfect!! So I dressed Parker up for him, made him a bunch of food and it was clear sailing for my shoe sale!
It was beautiful out this past weekend so we decided to head outside! First we tried to do some Chanterelle mushroom hunting, which lasted for about 20 minutes...Parker decided she'd rather go to a winery instead! So we hit the winery before heading back to town to watch the Ducks football game.So we stopped at Chateau Lorane Winery for a tasting and picnic.Annie and Parker watching the Ducks destroy Tennessee!
Aaron and I have played on a co-ed softball team called The Homers since we moved to Eugene. This summer we placed 1st! So to celebrate we had a BBQ over at a friend's house. We joke that there is something in the water as four of us on the team were/are "expecting"!

Summer Trip to Minnesota!

Aaron, Parker and I flew back to Minnesota for a week long visit home. Aaron hasn't been home since our wedding (2 years ago!) and it was fun that all three of us got to go home together. Parker once again proved she loves to travel and was perfect on the flights both directions- whew! While we were home we took the opportunity to get Parker baptised. She is now 12 weeks old and is weighing in at 11lb 5.5oz.Great Aunt Kathy and Cousin Kim even drove down from Grand Forks!
Al built and awesome gazebo out at "the compound"! Aric and Aaron helped with putting the siding on. It is now dubbed "The Party Hut"!We all pitched in and helped my dad take out the dock and lifts (Jaime and I drove the boat around :-)). It's officially the end of summer when that happens. The day before we flew back home we decided to open up the Kvasager house to whoever could come over for a little gathering! It was a fun relaxed day and Parker got to meet a lot of Great Aunts, Second Cousins and of course see her Great Grandparents again! On the way out of town we got to stop by our college friend's house, Brian and Amanda, and have lunch! We were so excited to meet their new little baby boy Grant, who is 10 days older than Parker.Glamor Shot! And then it was time to fly back to Oregon...it was a great trip!! Once we got home though we had to deal with our exploding garden and made another batch of salsa and tried out making two different types of relish!Parker is exhausted from all the adventures...
