Christmas 2010!

This year for Christmas my family all came out to Eugene...even Jaime surprised us all (except Aaron- he knew!) by flying in on Thursday night. It was a great long weekend filled with a lot of presents (Parker has an entire new wardrobe), cooking, board games and hanging out!

I bought Aaron a home brew kit (finally- he says, he's been wanting one for a few years). So Friday he is going to start brewing his first batch!
Aaron got me a fisheye lens for my camera! Jaime, Dave, Aaron, our friend Bill and I started off Christmas Day by hiking up Spencer's Butte! Great way to start off the day, didn't feel so quilty eating all that turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie that evening. Grandma Sue and Parker spent the morning going through her pile of new clothes she scored!Parker couldn't wait to get out of her Christmas dress...she's a casual type of girl!
I gave Aaron a bean bag toss game! A friend of mine made the boards but we still needed to make the bean bags. Aaron took to the sewing machine with the supervision of Sue. Parker fully enjoyed watching Daddy sew!
We were a little down after everyone left so we decided to change in to our tutu and cheer up!

5K

I did it. I ran my first ever organized race! A 5k up in Portland called the Holiday Half. It was a blast! Aaron and Parker ran it with me, as well as our friends Mike and Rochelle. Our friend Annie ran the half marathon. All in all it was a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Parker did great during it! Aaron pushed her in the stroller and she just looked around smiling the entire time. Whew!
Here comes Annie down the home stretch! All finishers! Parker is wiped out after her big run.

Football and Squash

Living in Eugene you can't help but become a Ducks fan. Our football team is heading to the BCS championship! It's quite the big deal here...so for the final game of the season Parker wore some special shoes and we had a bunch of friends over to watch the big game! This is our friend Kristena and her little girl Starra...Parker and her will be best friends!Parker is now old enough to start trying new foods! So far we've tried carrots, bananas and pears. All of which she pretty much likes. Then one day we tried squash. The pictures speak for them selves. She actually threw up right after this, but I will spare you that pretty picture! So on to happier things, like....tub tub time!
