Along Came Nana Sue...

My mom came out to stay with us for 10 whole days a week ago for some grand-baby love.  Needless to say there were many trips to Target and it wouldn't be a visit from my mom without a big project in the works!  This time around she re-painted all the cabinets in our kitchen...something I have wanted to do for YEARS but (standard) have just never found the time to do it.  Now I know why!  It took her pretty much the entire trip for her to complete it, but we couldn't be happier with the results!

(this is an old pic taken before we even had the back splash up...)
 AFTER!!
Nana Sue giving Parker a lesson in sewing.

 Story time!
The trip wouldn't be complete without a run up to Sweet Cheeks!
 Some tummy time...

Asher Ace!!

He's here!!  Arriving 9 days early, Asher Ace made his enterance into the world this past Saturday morning.  Weighing in at 7lb8oz and 19" long...he's the sweetest, easiest going baby ever.

This was the scene outside the hospital when Asher was born!

Parker meeting Asher for the first time...all she wanted to do was hold his hand!  It only lasted for about 5 minutes though, then she wanted to go play with her princesses.  Typical 2 1/2 year old!
Parker took this picture of Aaron, I love it.  I just think he looks so happy holding baby boy :-)
Having our last meal in the hospital...Parker got such a kick out of "eating in bed"!
Swaddle time!  Let's blow this joint!
The pictures do not do this justice...but when we arrived home we walked in to a house decked out with balloons, streamers and party favors!!  Our amazing friends Bill and Annie broke in and went to town...making a great "Welcome Home" moment!  Parker LOOOOOOVED it!!
We are seriously so happy with our new little guy...can't wait for everyone to meet him!

Valentine's Day

Parker had a Royal Tea Party in her classroom yesterday for Valentine's Day.  She was sooo excited for it because she knew they were going to have special treats and everyone got to dress up in princess dresses!  Even the lone boy (who is holding hands with Parker :-))
Balloons are always a huge hit with toddlers!
I know this is going to be shocking for those of you that know Aaron, but he is completely against Valentine's Day.  I told you...shocker!  However, he did take me out for lunch...when we sat down he pulled out a little battery operated candle from home and said "Happy Valentine's Day, welcome to our candlelit lunch".  I thought it was adorable and he was quite proud of himself.
Parker and I HAD to stop by Sweet Life to pick up a piece of yummy cheesecake for Aaron and I...and we couldn't leave without a pink and purple cupcake for her.
Do you like my card I made for Aaron?  (*I had to make it, because if I would of spent money on it he would not have been nearly as amused)

Papa Rick's Visit

This past weekend my dad flew into town for a quick trip!  He and Aaron got up early to go fishing (and was successful at landing a Steelhead!) and that night we went to the Duck's basketball game.  All in all it was a nice relaxing weekend.
Aaron got us club level access tickets, which is great for Parker cause she can run around and eat unlimited amounts of popcorn.
Not to mention really good seats!

Valentine Prep!

Parker is super stoked on the whole concept of Valentines Day, which makes me so happy and Aaron so annoyed. :-). And so we've started the process of making valentines for her class!

We followed it up with a little trip to the park. It has been super nice outside lately so we've been taking advantage!

And the answer is yes...she had to change outfits to go to the park.

Bowling!

We decided to take Parker bowling for the first time the other day...I was surprised they even had bowling shoes in her size! Needless to say she loved every minute of it! Even carried her 5lb ball all by herself. Aaron was pretty pumped.

Christmas 2012

Well now that January is half way over...I finally have a moment to recap our Christmas back home in MN!

First things first...getting Parker excited for the holiday season wasn't hard at all this year.  The concept of Santa has sunk in which is so fun to see!
This is Parker and her cousin Claire back home in Alexandria, MN...waiting for their turn to meet the Big Guy!
Aaron's twin brother and his family are finally back in the states after living three years in Spain!  So this was everyone's first time meeting Parker...and our first time in years of being all together.  We hit the town one night...this is Alicia trying to lock Aaron in the bathroom at a bar!
...continuing the fun with a wild game of ping pong!
Of course we had to go ice fishing...from my understanding, this day's catch was pretty epic!
Another day the Davison side of my mom's family all gathered at my cousin Chad's house...it was so fun being back at "the Farm"!  Especially with all the 2nd cousins running around.
Swimming is favorite past time at the farm!
Another day of ice fishing...this morning Parker actually woke up quite early so we made the cut and went with the boys to see what this was all about.  Here is Parker and uncle Andy!
Parker was quite interested in the fish...she wanted to touch them and kiss them!
Auntie JJ and Parker on Christmas Eve...

Opening presents from Santa on Christmas morning!
Playing with play-doh with Auntie...

One of the things we really wanted to do while home was have Aaron's mom, who is a dental hygienist, clean Parker's teeth.  Parker was a champ and just went with it!!
Then it was time to watch Daddy get his teeth cleaned.

Playing a little poker in the shop!

Parker got all the Princess Barbies from Nana Sue...they now go with us where ever we go.  Seriously...

Saying goodbye to Cousin Claire...two peas in a pod for sure!!

And saying goodbye to Nana Sue...
Parker was wiped out for our 6am flight out of Fargo...but it was worth it!
It was a GREAT trip back home, that's for sure!
