Auntie JJ Comes to Town

My sister flew into town for a long weekend a couple weeks ago.  Parker was STOKED so say the least.  Asher doesn't quite understand yet...he'll get it soon.

First things first.  Sweet Cheeks.  Standard.
After a day drinking vino...we came home for a Thai food feast!  Parker and her good friend Alethea drew with chalk and climbed the tree...some favorite activities in our backyard.
Then we realized how old we are getting...why?  Because a day at the winery results in this.
Sleeping!  Passed out!  Down for the count!  What time was it you ask?  Oh ya, 7:30ish...maybe 8pm if your generous!
After a long/good nights sleep we showed Jaime our standard Saturday morning activity at the library, "Family Music Time".
She quickly caught on to Asher's favorite position, the football hold.
Alas Auntie JJ had to fly home, which meant things got quite again...so to cheer Parker up we had a little Tinker Bell watching session.  Check out that hair!

Marathon

How has a month flown by since the last time I was on here?!  Let's play a little catch up...

First off Asher is now 12 weeks old.  He is full of smiles, coos, screeches and laughs!  Parker is fairly obsessed with him, even more so now that she can make him smile.

At the end of April Aaron ran in the Eugene Marathon.  He did the half again for the 5th time.  I love the marathon- it is such a fun event!  A portion of the course is right in our backyard so it's really easy to see everyone at mile 3 and 6 when they come around the loop.  Our good friends Annie and Mike (along with many other friends) ran it as well.

Here's Mike and Aaron heading out the door.  This is what I call the "before" picture.

Here is Aaron at mile 3...
...and here is Annie (in neon green) right behind him running the full marathon!
Still looking happy and strong at mile 6!
And let's not forget the ever-serious Mikey!
The "after" photo wasn't too different than the "before".  I thought there would be some blood, sweat, and tears possibly.  All smiles!

Easter Bunny and Grandparents!

Aaron's folks flew in for a week long visit which started over Easter weekend.  They couldn't have picked a better week to be here, weather wise, as it was beautiful, warm and full of sunshine!

First we went next door to our awesome neighbor's house for an egg hunt...
Jackson, Parker and Ryleigh
While us girls (plus Asher!) were doing this...Aaron and Al were- you guessed it- fishing!
Once they returned from their morning of fishing we dyed Easter eggs...

...while Asher napped on Grandma Mary Lou
Al and Aaron preparing fish for smoking!
The next day was Easter!  A basket was hidden...Parker had a good time trying to find it.  Anything which involves "presents", she is all about.
It was beautiful outside, there was no way we were going to eat indoors- so we set up outside!
Annie's folks were also in town from North Dakota, so we spent the day/evening together!
It was "too hot" for Aaron and Al in the sun, so they opted to eat in the shade.
I'm sure I was saying something extremely intelligent.
After dinner we hid some more eggs for Parker to find...
It wouldn't be a trip to Eugene if we didn't hit up Sweet Cheeks!

It was a great week that went really fast!  I'm already working on my list of "to-do" projects for the next visit.
The last night we ended with Parker's favorite thing..."popcorn movie night".

Quiet Time??

Parker has decided to stop taking a nap during the day at home.  Which is fine with us because she goes to bed in seconds (normally) when she doesn't nap.  However, my definition and Parker's definition of "Quiet Time" seems to differ quite a bit.

I started documenting her outfit changes after she came out in the 3rd one...so this is #3.  She came out saying "it fits", meaning she took it from the far right side of her closet which is for bigger clothes...I knew it was going to get interesting.
#4
#5...I found her over by Whitey.  When I asked her what she was doing/wearing she said she needed a dress on to take Whitey to the hospital for his appointment.
#6...body art.  She put purple flower stamps all over her torso.  She "needed to do this" was her reasoning.
I finally walked her back to her room only to find that a tornado had ripped through!  We are going to have to work on what "Quiet Time" really means...clearly.

She's Got an Eye...

Parker loves to play with my iPhone and listen to music, watch videos, play games and look at pictures. I always check it out after she has had it awhile and see what she was up to. Today this is what I found...life through the eyes of an almost-three year old.

Her beloved Arial "Princess Barbie"
"Puddles" in her stroller.
This one sort of freaks me out.
And this one really does!

Tree Time is Spring Time!

We had a large tree removed from the front yard awhile back and have been waiting to go get a couple apple trees to replace it.  Last weekend, it was time!

Parker was the foreman on the project.
...in typical 3 year old fashion "I can water the tree all by myself!"
Then it was off to the backyard to climb.
It's just a flesh wound!  This is what happens when you think you can turn the garden rock wall into a balance beam.
All was right in the world once we walked down for some ice cream!

*Side note:  You may have noticed that Parker has on three different outfits on through out this post (which was approximately a two hour span).  That is because this girl is obsessed with changing clothes.  Which is the reason I feel I am constantly doing laundry!

Bath Time is a Whole New Event.

Really I don't need to say much, the pictures speak for themselves. But besides gymnastics, Parker is obsessed with swimming. So this is how bath time looks at our house these days!

A swimsuit is always involved...and now the goggles have been added in.
